Renovation work at the city of Wooster’s nearly 60-year old Fire Station No.1 building, on North Market Street, is set to begin early next year.  While the renovation and expansion project is still in the early planning stages, the city is moving quickly to get the ball rolling, after the upgrades were delayed a year, due to COVID.  Fire officials say the hope is that once the project is figured into the city’s budget for 2022, the department’s members can move into a temporary building and operate out of that while the renovations and upgrades are made.
