Rittman woman sentenced to three years in prison for embezzlement

A Rittman woman will spend three years behind bars after pleading guilty to embezzling around $84,000 from an elderly woman. 26 year-old Audrey Whitworth was sentenced to the prison term in U.S. District Court in Cleveland. Whitworth stole the money while she was working at a bank in Smithville by making withdrawals between June 2017 and August 2019. Whitworth was also ordered to pay roughly $82,000 in restitution and will be under supervision for two years once released from prison.
