In a move that could hurt several area entities, including four local school districts, Rover Pipeline is asking the state to reduce the amount of taxes it has to pay.  Rover is formally seeking a 50% reduction from the state’s Department of Taxation.  If approved, the reduction would affect how much revenue each individual entity collects from the pipeline.  The Wayne County Auditor’s Office says though that nothing is final yet, and that if the matter isn’t settled by the time the first tax collection is due in February, Rover will end up being billed for the original amount.
