The J.M. Smucker Company saw a decline in sales for the 3rd quarter last year but still beat out analysts’ expectations. Smucker reported finishing the third quarter with an adjusted earnings per share of $2.95 despite seeing sales decline 2 percent from a year earlier. The company’s net income was also up despite the dip in sales, as the company saw $187.4 million dollars in income, up 54% from the third quarter the previous year.
