The Salvation Army is providing those wishing to donate, but don’t have loose change on them a new way to pay. New this year will be the new “Kettle Pay” feature, where patrons will be able to pay simply by touching their phone to the Salvation Army sign and pay with Apple Pay, or Google Pay, or by simply using a QR code on the sign. The Salvation Army hopes this will allow the younger generation, who are less likely to carry cash, to be able to donate.
