The Wooster Post of the Highway Patrol and the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office responded to an accident yesterday in the area of U.S. Routes 30 and 250, near the Dix Express and State Route 83 loop. Authorities say a semi went through a guardrail and then down an embankment as it tried to avoid hitting another vehicle that was backing up on the roadway. Fortunately, no serious injuries were reported and everyone involved was able to walk away from the accident. Traffic was backed up for a time as crews pulled the semi back up the embankment and cleared the road of debris.
