The Severe Weather Shelter, funded by United Way of Wayne and Holmes Counties, will open it’s doors this Thursday (2/27), Friday (2/28) and Saturday (2/29) evenings at 6:30pm as temperatures are predicted to be very cold during the overnight hours. The shelter is located at the Wooster Corp of the Salvation Army. The Severe Weather Shelter will remain open between 6:30pm and 8am the following morning on each of the days noted above. Please spread the word to anyone who may need a safe place to sleep, a hot meal and a warm shower. The shelter is open to anyone needing to escape the elements.

Guests arriving at the shelter are asked to use the Family Life Center door of the Salvation Army which faces Ohio Street. Signs are posted outside the building so that guests can easily see where to enter.
