The JM Smucker Company is giving a $1 million donation to the Lebron James Family Foundation for James’ “I Promise” school project. The plan is to add a new community space, including a gymnasium, for I Promise School families. The school’s “HomeTown Hall” will feature athletic spaces but also serve as a gathering spot for families to have dinner together every month. The school, which focuses on helping not only students but their families as well, is a partnership between the foundation and Akron Public Schools.
