A special recycling day was held over the weekend in Holmes County. While the overall number of people showing up for the recycling day was down from last year, the amount of items recycled was up from last year. Holmes County Solid Waste Director Tim Morris said that 259 people showed up for the recycling day, which was down 130 from last year, but that they recycled more items, including over 100 televisions. Overall there were two 30 yard trailers and a dumpster that where filled with items that were hauled away.
