Wayne County is closer to being able to build a new Multi Agency Radio Communication tower, thanks to a quarter of a million dollars in funding from the Ohio Department of Public Safety.  Wayne County Commissioners have also committed $100,000 to the project, but that still leaves the county several hundred thousand dollars short of what it needs to actually build the tower.  Officials say the tower is needed to provide better coverage for emergency responders in southeastern Wayne County, as well as northern Holmes County.
