Wayne County will soon be able to build a fifth MARCS communication tower for its first responders, thanks to half a million dollars in recently allocated state funding. The new tower, which will be located south of Fredericksburg , will enhance radio coverage for a number of local agencies, including the South Central Fire District, the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office and the Highway Patrol.
