A dedication ceremony was held yesterday in Orrville for a new statue outside city hall. The statue, of a bald eagle perched on a branch and clutching an American flag, is meant to honor those who protect and serve the community. The idea of the statue was first presented to Mayor Dave Handwerk about six months ago by an Alabama man who grew up in Orrville.
