A study released yesterday by researchers at Ohio University found that Holmes County has the lowest suicide rate of any county in the state.  According to the study, Holmes County’s annual rate was just seven suicides per every 100,000 deaths.  Wayne County, meanwhile, also had a relatively small amount of suicides, ranking in the bottom third of Ohio’s 88 counties with an annual rate of 12 per every 100,000 deaths.  The decade-long study focused on the years 2009 to 2018.
