A 51-year-old man has died after he was hit by an SUV while riding a motorcycle in Ashland County. According to the Highway Patrol, the crash happened Wednesday afternoon at the intersection of State Route 545 and West Main Street. Officials say a 76-year-old woman was driving the SUV and did not properly stop at the intersection’s stop sign. The driver of the SUV was not injured. The driver of the motorcycle, James Mcclurg, of Mansfield, passed away yesterday while being treated for his injuries at Akron City Hospital. The crash remains under investigation. Officials have not said whether or not any charges will be filed.
