Minnesota Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards has agreed on a five-year designated rookie maximum deal that could be worth up to $260 million, his agents Bill Duffy and Joe Branch of WME told ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski on Monday.

Edwards, the No. 1 overall pick in the 2020 draft, averaged career bests of 24.6 points, 5.8 rebounds, 4.4 assists and 1.6 steals per game last season while earning his first All-Star appearance.

He becomes the fourth player from the 2020 class to sign a five-year max extension, joining Tyrese HaliburtonLaMelo Ball and Desmond Bane.
