A new four-way stop will be installed next week at an intersection in Wayne County’s Salt Creek Township. The new traffic pattern, at the intersection of Harrison and Mount Hope roads, will go into effect one week from today. According to the county’s traffic safety advisor, there have been 11 crashes at the intersection during the last three years, with ten of them caused by drivers failing to yield. The intersection has also seen an increase in traffic, which led nearby residents to express their concerns to the county, since it is located not far from a school. The project, which includes LED stop signs and new signage for the intersection, came with a price tag of roughly $3,500.
