There was a train derailment late last night in Medina County.  The derailment took place in Spencer, at the State Route 301 crossing near the Spencer Feed & Supply Company.  301 remains closed this morning at State Route 162 to the south and drivers and residents are being advised to avoid the area.  It appears no one was hurt in the derailment, which was reported at around 11 pm, and authorities say the train was not hauling any hazardous materials.  It is the second train derailment this week in Northeast Ohio.  The first took place Monday in Wayne County, in Sterling.
