Trial of Massillon man in death of Wooster man postponed

The trial of a Massillon man that was supposed to start Monday in Wayne County Common Pleas has been pushed back after the man did not show up to court. 22 year-old Travis Cottrell is charged with involuntary manslaughter in Wayne County, after he reportedly sold drugs to a Wooster man that led to that man’s death last year. Cottrell was set to appear in court for the start of his jury trial Monday but did not show after being arrested in Massillon Sunday on assault charges. Cottrell is due back in Wayne County Court Wednesday for a pre-trial conference.
