Charges are pending following a high-speed chase this week that reached speeds of 115 mph.  Tuesday afternoon’s chase began in Wayne County, on U.S. Route 30, and ended in Ashland County when the driver of the vehicle crashed into a group of trees in Hayesville.  Fortunately, the driver and three passengers were able to get out of the vehicle before it caught fire.  All four were taken to the hospital with what authorities described as minor injuries.  During their investigation of the crash, state troopers reportedly found a weapon in the vehicle, although it is not clear who it belonged to.  The incident remains under investigation.
