Two more local events have been cancelled for this year due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. The Wooster Area Chamber of Commerce announced that this year’s edition of Woosterfest has been canceled. The event was still being planned, but the chamber was unable to obtain the necessary permits for the event, and questions remained about how to keep everyone socially distant during the event, leading to the cancellation. The chamber is still planning some virtual events in regards to Woosterfest and plans will be released at a later date. The Orrville Community Day has also been cancelled due to the pandemic. The event had been pushed back during the summer but the committee decided to cancel to keep everyone safe.
