Two Wooster nursing homes account for the majority of Wayne County’s coronavirus cases

According to the Ohio Department of Health, nearly two-thirds of Wayne County’s confirmed cases of the coronavirus have come from a pair of nursing homes in Wooster.  As of yesterday, Wayne County had 66 confirmed cases.  28 of those happened at Glendora Health Care Center and 13 occurred at Smithville Western Care Center.  Of the 11 coronavirus deaths in the County, the Wayne County Health Department says five occurred at Glendora, while Smithville Western yesterday confirmed a death of its own.
