A Wooster man was seriously injured this morning when a semi tractor trailer overturned near the intersection of US Route 30 and Elyria Road west of Wooster.  The accident happened around 4:30 this morning.  A 49-year old Wooster man was driving the semi and was injured in the accident.  HAZMAT crews needed to be called out because the semi was hauling a highly combustible petroleum product, which was seen leaking from the trailer. The semi’s driver was forced to stay in the vehicle for an extended period due to the release of hazardous materials.  Authorities from multiple counties were on the scene all morning as traffic was detoured away from Route 30 in that area. The cause and the events that led up the crash remain under investigation
