Even through challenges faced amid the Coronavirus pandemic, the United Way of Wayne and Holmes Counties surpassed its fundraising goal for 2020. The organization says they are thankful to all who supported them last year, which helped them reach their $1.5 million goal. The area nonprofit says they targeted the community in several ways last year, including social media, emails, and even mobile payments. In addition to reaching their fundraising goals, the United Way of Wayne and Holmes Counties also established an emergency COVID-19 fund, allowing area residents to apply for extra support.
