The United Way of Wayne and Holmes Counties announced that they officially reached, and surpassed their fundraising goal for 2019. The final push in January got them past their $1.43 million goal, as they raised over $1.44 million. The $1.44 million raised was a 9% increase over 2018 when they raised $1.31 million. The United Way will now work on allocating the money to local organizations, and expect for the announcement on those groups getting the funds to be made early in March.
