After surpassing its $1.5 million fundraising goal in 2020, more than 30 area organizations are receiving grant money from the United Way of Wayne and Holmes Counties. The organization has unanimously approved the distribution of more than $800,000 in grant money. Area nonprofit organizations interested in receiving grant money are being encouraged to apply in the second grant application process, which begins next month. The United Way is also allocating more than $300,000 for COVID-19 relief.
