The village of Congress will once again be asking residents to pass a levy to cover expenses in the village. Voters turned down the levy in November by a scant 8-6 vote. The issue, which is set to appear on the upcoming March 17 primary, would generate just over $16,000 a year, and would support the street fund, as well as maintenance and upkeep of street lights and alleys and drains. The levy would cost the owner of a $100,000 home $350 a year is passed.
