The city of Wadsworth opened up its second solar panel field this week.  The ten-acre site on Rittman Road joins a larger 39-acre solar field on Seville Road that began producing commercial power back in March.  According to city officials, the solar panels at the new location can provide power to more than 1,800 homes, while the larger site can light up more than 4,300 homes.  The land for both sites was annexed into the city last year from Wadsworth Township.
