Wadsworth City Council sent five proposals to the Medina County Auditor’s office for a proposed fire department levy. The levy would be the first for the fire department to appear on a ballot since 2015. The proposal’s varied in millage amount, between 1.1 and 2.5 mill each. Once Auditor Mike Kovak evaluates the proposal, Wadsworth Council will have a better idea of what it will be putting on the ballot. The Wadsworth Fire Department is looking to replace Fire Station number 1 and could be in need of a new ladder truck by next year, with both those projects combine expected to cost over $10 million.
