An appeals court has upheld a life sentence without the chance of parole for a Wadsworth teen, who was convicted back in November 2018 in the strangulation death of an elderly woman. Gavon Ramsay, who was 17 years old at the time, reportedly strangled and sexually assaulted 98-year-old Margaret Douglass in the early morning hours of April 6, 2018. Authorities found Douglass dead in a closet three days later. Ramsay’s attorney has claimed during the appeals process that the murder conviction handed out to Ramsay was excessive for someone who was still a juvenile.
