The defending champion Golden State Warriors defeated the Cleveland Cavaliers at home on Friday night by a final score of 120-114, even though the Warriors rested Finals MVP guard Stephen Curry, guard Klay Thompson, forward Draymond Green and forward Andrew Wiggins.

For Cleveland (28-19), guard Darius Garland led all scorers with 31 points and 10 assists, while guard Caris LeVert scored 22 points with five rebounds. Forward Evan Mobley scored 17 points with seven rebounds, while forwards Cedi Osman and Kevin Love scored 13 points and 12 points respectively off the bench. Guard Donovan Mitchell was out once again for the Cavaliers with a groin injury.

For Golden State (23-23), guard Jordan Poole scored a team-high 32 points, while guard Ty Jerome scored 22 points with eight assists. Guard Donte DiVincenzo scored 17 points with six rebounds, while forwards JaMychal Green and Anthony Lamb scored 13 points and 12 points respectively off the bench.

The Cavaliers will be at home again to take on the Milwaukee Bucks on Saturday, January 21st, with tip-off set for 7:30 p.m.
