The Wayne County Airport has secured a $5 million grant to design and construct a new full-length parallel taxiway. The grant was awarded through the FAA’s Airport Improvement Program and will cover roughly 99% of the project’s estimated price tag. Congressman Anthony Gonzalez announced the awarding of the grant earlier this week. The new taxiway is expected to be completed sometime next year.
