The Wayne County Board of Elections has completed an audit of the votes cast in last month’s Special Election. The audit, which took place last Wednesday, was reported to the Ohio Secretary of State’s Office with 100% accuracy. The post-election audit was conducted by completing a hand count of 5% of the ballots cast for State Issue 1, selected through a random drawing at a public meeting. The hand count confirmed the board of elections’ official results that were certified at the end of August.
