Wayne County Commissioners have approved a pair of small grants. The first grant is an agreement between the Wayne County Engineer’s Office and the Stark-Tusc-Wayne Joint Solid Waste Management District. Commissioners say the $2,500 grant will enable the two agencies to be more proactive in providing supplies and encouraging residents to help pick up trash and litter along the county’s roadways. The second grant that commissioners authorized this week was also for $2,500. It will benefit the Wayne County Dog Shelter’s spay & neuter program.
