Wayne County Commissioners have passed a resolution that limits how energy companies can use unincorporated county land.  Commissioners say the goal of the resolution is to provide oversight for large-scale wind and solar farms.  The resolution, which was unanimously approved, requires energy companies to seek the commissioners’ approval before building solar projects that are 50 megawatts or larger.  Any project though under 50 megawatts can still proceed without commissioners’ approval.
