A two vehicle accident yesterday afternoon in Wayne County’s Paint Township claimed the life of a man from Navarre. According to the Highway Patrol, the accident took place just before four o’clock at the intersection of Harrison and South Kansas roads. 65-year old Patrick Baldwin was taken to Akron City Hospital, where he later passed away from his injuries. The patrol says Baldwin’s pickup truck was struck by a van that ran the intersection’s stop sign. The van’s driver 69-year old Rex Beeler, of Wooster, was taken to Wooster Community Hospital with unspecified injuries. The crash remains under investigation.
