Those running for office in Wayne County in the upcoming May election will be doing so unopposed. All the primary races for seats around the county have just one person running for election or re-election. There are two special election issues on the ballot, as Sugar Creek Township will look to get a 2-mill levy passed for road and bridge maintenance, and the village of Burbank will have a pair of levies on the ballot, one for parks and rec expenses and the other for police expenses. In Holmes County, voters will have a quiet election night, as there is currently nothing on the ballot, meaning there will be no election night in the county.
