The Wayne County Fair Board has found a way to use the wood from a tree that was taken down several years ago to make way for the fair’s event center. The wood was used to make 12 commemorative clocks marking the 100th anniversary of the fair’s coliseum. Five of the clocks have already been sold at auction, raising more than $12,000. The remaining clocks are being sold this week at the fair. The money raised will go toward coliseum renovations.
