Health officials in Wayne County say the county is set to receive more than 2,000 doses of the COVID vaccine this week, including 300 doses of Johnson & Johnson’s newly approved one-shot vaccine. Nearly 2,200 doses will be divided up between the health department, Wooster Community Hospital and Aultman Orrville Hospital, while Discount Drug Mart is getting 240 doses this week and Marc’s Pharmacy an additional 100. Eligibility will also expand on Thursday as part of the states Phase 1C and Phase 2 going into effect, as people with certain medical conditions, law enforcement officials, funeral personnel, and those aged 60 and up will now be eligible for the vaccine.
