An accidental shooting this week in Holmes County injured a 12-year-old boy. It happened Tuesday afternoon while the boy was riding a four-wheeler in a farm field. Authorities say a rifle fell off the ATV, hit the ground and fired, striking the Stone Creek boy in the chest, with the bullet exiting through his shoulder. The boy, who was said to be conscious and alert after being shot, was taken to Akron Children’s Hospital.
