In an effort to better serve the community, several departments within the Wayne County Justice System have undergone renovations. The emergency dispatch center had been located on the bottom floor of the justice center since opening back in 1976, but recently moved to the second floor, the former home of the Wooster Police Department. The new area features upgraded equipment, individual offices, and a training center. The Wayne County Common Pleas Court Probation Department is one of the next scheduled renovations, which will move into the current space of the Wayne County Law Library later this year. The law library will then move to the Wayne County Municipal building. The estimated cost is $900,000.
