An educator who calls Wayne County home has been named the Northwest Local School District’s Teacher of the Year. Angie Ellis is the physical education teacher at Northwest Primary School in Canal Fulton, where she teaches kindergarteners, first graders and second graders. Ellis, who currently lives in Orrville, graduated from Triway High School where she was one of seven valedictorians in the class of 1995. In addition to her time at Northwest Local, Ellis has also taught for Tiffin City Schools and the Perry Local District.
