Wayne County Schools to get coronavirus relief funds

Wayne County’s School districts were approved for coronavirus related relief funds. The funds were approved this week to help schools with planning for the new school year and will go towards a variety of needs. The funds will be distributed by enrollment. Wooster City schools will receive the most money, receiving $178,550. Chippewa Local will receive $61,407, Dalton Local will get $44,870, Green local gets $54,257, Northwestern Local gets $75,836, Norwayne Local will receive $76,332, Orrville City schools will get $73,162, Rittman will get $45,292, while Southeast Local gets $91,898 and Triway Local will get $87,912. Wooster Community Hospital was also awarded aid through the state, and will receive $371,555.
