Wayne County commissioners have approved a pair of resolutions that will allow the county to apply for state funds so that it can create a new master plan for the Wayne County Airport.  The county will apply for a grant from the Ohio Airport Improvement Program, along with a matching application for a grant from the Ohio Department of Transportation.  Ohio’s public airports are required to update their master plans every ten years.  The cost of putting together a study for the new master plan is reportedly in the neighborhood of $40,000.
