The Wayne Economic Development Council has found its next president. The councils board approved naming Maribeth Burns as the new president, and she takes the reigns from John Crum, who had been the interim president. Burns has more than 30 years’ experience in a leadership role from her days at the J.M. Smucker company in communications, government relations and community relations. Burns also spent time with numerous community groups around Wayne County, including the Wayne County Community Foundation, Aultman Health Foundation, and the Orrville Area Boys and Girls Club among others.
