Wayne officials say countywide dispatch center won’t happen after all

Wayne County Commissioners, along with elected officials from Wooster and Orrville, are ending talks about forming a countywide emergency dispatch center.  The three entities began looking into the possibility more than a year ago to see if it would save money, but have since come to the conclusion that combining 9-1-1 services would actually lead to higher operational costs.
