Two area school districts are part of a group of nearly 100 schools that have filed a lawsuit against the state questioning the validity of its school voucher system.  Wooster City Schools and Hillsdale Local officials say they are not against private schools, but are hoping to make funding more balanced among all districts.  Supporters of the lawsuit argue that the $2 billion given to private schools over the last decade goes against the goal of having a single system of common schools, while those opposed are worried that challenging the system could do away with the EdChoice scholarship program that is currently helping thousands of families statewide.  With no definitive timeline for the lawsuit in place, both sides agree that it could be years before the Ohio Supreme Court actually hears the case.
