The Wooster City School District’s board of education is expected to vote on a resolution this week, that if approved, would restrict the district’s involvement with the Wayne County Fair. The district says the resolution is needed because the fair still allows vendors to sell merchandise featuring the Confederate flag. If board members pass the resolution, the district’s students would not display projects at the fair, nor would district-sponsored groups take part in any fair-related events. The resolution would also ban all fair advertising within the district’s buildings.
