The Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, near Rittman, is looking for new volunteers.  The matter was discussed when the cemetery’s volunteers held their monthly meeting on Wednesday.  According to the cemetery’s director, volunteer opportunities include everything from the honor guard to a garden club.  Volunteers are also needed at the cemetery’s public information center and to do administrative work in the Department of Veterans Affairs administration building, which is also located on the cemetery’s grounds.  The Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery opened in 2000 and currently has about 48,000 gravesites, although more are on the way.  An expansion project happening right now will include 10,000 additional gravesites, along with a new columbarium.
