The Wooster City School District’s board of education heard comments from the public this week concerning the district’s religious education program. The topic was brought up at Tuesday night’s meeting, even though the issue wasn’t on council’s agenda. Remarks covered the entire spectrum, ranging from favorable to those who strongly opposed the idea. In accordance with the Ohio Revised Code, the religious education classes will be held off-site and without school funding. The classes will be an option for the district’s elementary and middle school students.
