The Wooster City School District’s board of education has chosen its newest member.  Cody Austin, one of two finalists in the running to fill the seat vacated earlier this month by Mike Knapic, was selected by board members during a closed door session on Monday night.  While the board was unanimous in its decision to appoint Austin, it could not vote on the matter, since that needs to happen during an open meeting.  The board will officially vote at an upcoming open session, with Austin expected to be sworn in on September 19th.  He’ll finish out the remainder of Knapic’s term, which runs through the end of next year.
